The festival is open to microfilms made in any part of the world, ‘Microfilm” means a very short aesthetic creation, which means any type of films; duration must be under 5 minutes including credits.
There are 4 Categories in the festival such as an Open Category; Theme based Category, Student Category and Exhibition Category
The films which based on any subjects will consist in the open category section, while the films on a certain topic will consist in the theme based category (Topic: Global Friendship)
Student Category is reserved for regular students (not for film school students)
The Exhibition category is a competitive section, will comprise of short films, duration between 5 to 15 minutes.
The microfilms done by technical experts and celebrities from different sectors will come under section 'Purple Zone', whose films herald a new aesthetic awakening and enlightenment.

The festival selection committee selects 500 final round films from all these categories for the festival screening.
In a special screening, the venue jury selects 50 micro-films for the competition category from the final round films
The winners will be presented with the Crystal Leaf Awards and cash Prize.
